🤓 Before I get into the usual intro. Correction on last week's email where I referenced an article saying "The lower tariffs resulted in cost savings to Indian buyers, decreasing In Shell cost by about $0.16/lb, and Shelled cost by about $0.53/lb (source)."
We found an error in the conversion in the original article. We contacted the author and the article is now updated. Per the update, In Shell cost decreased by about $0.03/lb, and Shelled cost decreased by about $0.11/lb.

Looking ahead to September exports, will they beat August?
Crazy what can change in a year... Last year during this time ports were blocked and exporters in the almond market had a difficult time getting access to shipping export routes.
Seems that's all behind us this season and I'm wondering if we'll see a return to "normal" demand patterns in the almond market this 2023 marketing year.
Will September's shipments increase over August?

I'm sharing this to highlight the "normal" demand patterns typically seen in the almond market, August through October. With the exception of 2022.
