August's position report marks the start of the 2024/2025 marketing year. Crop receipts to date: 290,095,103 lbs up +313.65% over last year.

August's total shipments: 168,282,707 lbs down -20.63% over August last year.
⚖️ Carry-Out
The final 2023 Carry-Out is 502,650,201 Lbs down -0.55%, from the estimated Carry-Out per July 2024 position report
- 15.73% Carry-Out as a % of Total Marketable Supply (TMS) and
- 19.60% Carry-Out as a % of Total Shipments.
*Note, ABC finalized Loss & Exempt for 2023, actual L&E of 2.11% versus the 2% forecasted L&E figure resulting in a negative adjustment of 2,783,380 pounds on Carry-Out.
📊 Total Marketable Supply
August New Crop and Carry-In from 2023 bring the 2024 beginning Total Marketable Supply to 786,943,402 lbs, down -9.44% over last year.

The methodology we use for our crop receipt projections differs from our in-season machine learning forecasts. Our 2024 in-season forecasts are complete and have not been updated since we released a final forecast in July.
