Welcome to your second Bountiful Bloom Update for the 2024 growing season. We send these weekly, on Mondays, during almond bloom. And if you missed last week's update? Here's the February 19, 2024, Bountiful Bloom Update.

🌸 Bloom Update

February 20 - February 26, 2024

We're 28 days into almond bloom since the first submission of green tip to Bountiful Bloom. Bloom stages reported this week are full bloom to petal fall across all regions North, Central, and South.

Daily observations of bloom continue to be consistent in the Central region of the state followed by the South, then the North. You can see this below for the 2024 Almond Bloom showing the progression of bloom stages reported by day👇.

Bloom submissions received over the last week show the Central in full bloom with some reports of petal fall.

📣 If you're in the South or North regions, we'd love your support with bloom observations to increase coverage in these areas.

This week we're sharing data with you for how bloom sentiment has been reported so far, have a look at the chart above 👆.

February 9th through February 16th, bloom sentiment in all regions was reported to be Good to Excellent. February 9-16th was also when we had a break from the storms -- no precipitation during this period. You can view Precipitation and Temperature data on the Bountiful Platform in Agriculture: Weather.

California saw a break in precipitation end of last week, the break in weather brought perfect conditions for bloom over the weekend. With temperatures reaching 70 degrees+ Fahrenheit across the valley.

Bee Flight hours continue to trend above last year. Bee Flight hours in all regions are up 120-158% over last year. In the table below 👇 you'll see current Bee Flight Hours by week and Total Bee Flight Hours to Date for 2024 vs 2023.
